Thank you for your interest in applying to become a Funded Partner with United Way Tar River Region. Our Community Impact Plan outlines how our United Way is working across the twin counties to develop, implement, and fund strategies that make positive change within our communities’ greatest challenge areas. Our Quick Reference Guide also gives helpful tips on our funding process and timeline.
If you are interested in applying to become a Funded Partner, these steps must be followed:
- Review our Community Impact Plan and determine if your program fits within one of our impact areas and overall plan. To understand United Way terminology and our funding timeline, please review our Quick Reference Guide.
- Contact our Executive Director, Ginny Mohrbutter (phone: 252-937-2213 x 203 or ginnymohrbutter@unitedwaytrr.org) to discuss your agency & program, our Community Investment process, and qualifications needed to apply.
- Complete a Letter of Intent (LOI) to be considered prior to submitting a full application. The LOI process is available once per year (November-December) for established, local non-profit agencies who can demonstrate measurable results within the impact areas of: Education, Income & Independence, and/or Health.
- Click on the below icon to complete your Letter of Intent (LOI). The LOI will be open for completion on Friday, November 1 at 8:00 am and will close on Friday, December 6 at 12:00 Noon. We will contact you once your LOI has been reviewed.
